Hungaria Tours

hungaria-tours-emblemΒ – my tasks were: building a WordPress website from scratch, in Hebrew, in accordance with SEO & Accessibility standards for Google.

I continue our series with a very interesting project: building a Hebrew-language website from the ground up. I created this gallery site a few years ago primarily for reference purposes for a client who specializes in financial consulting. This project was exciting from both a technical and cultural perspective.

The Technical Challenge: Right-to-Left (RTL) Design

The work was technically unique because we had to build a website that supports the Hebrew language’s right-to-left (RTL) layout. This required special design and coding solutions to ensure a proper user experience. This made it a highly specific and rewarding development task.

Looking at the site again, it is definitely due for a renovation and modernization, which demonstrates that online platforms require continuous attention. However, the initial foundations remain solid.

Personal Connection and Cultural Appreciation

I genuinely enjoy working on these types of projects. My deep connection to the Bible opens me up to the Hebrew language, mindset, and culture. For me, this project was more than just a job; it was a rewarding opportunity for cultural and technical immersion.

Furthermore, visiting Jerusalem was a lifelong experience that reinforced the importance of paying close attention to cultural differences during web development. This work stands as a joyful example of professional tasks aligning perfectly with personal interest.
